Wang Xiaolong｜王小龙
Wang Xiaolongwas born in Qionghai, Hainan in 1954. He is an avant garde poet and documentary film director. He began writing poetry in 1968, and his style is largely representative of the early urban poetry of China. He has published many collections of poems including A Man Has to Have a Baby Once, Every Age Has Its Own Face, My Old Jeep, and Every Song is a Love Song. Besides poetry, Wang also writes novels, essays, plays, and film scripts. He directed documentary films for the Shanghai Media Group, such as A Place Called Home and What Shakespeare Looked Like. Wang Xiaolong is one of the first contemporary poets to compose poems entirely in spoken word. In the early 80s, he established a set of mature internal logic of spoken-word poetry writing. The skillful use of irony and parody, the emphasis on the sense of language and accent are clearly visible in his poems.
王小龙，1954年生於海南。詩人，前紀錄片工作者。1968年開始詩歌寫作。出版詩集《男人也要生一次孩子》、《每個年代都有它的表情》、《我的老吉普》、《每一首都是情歌》。個人紀錄片作品有《一個叫做家的地方》、《莎士比亞長什麼樣》等。王小龙是當代最早完全使用口語構成詩歌，並且寫出了經典詩篇的詩人。早在80年代初期，他就建立了一套成熟的口語詩歌寫作的內在邏輯，對具體感、現場感的追求，對敘述功能的放大，對反諷和戲謔的嫻熟運用，對語感和口氣的強調，在他詩歌中都清晰可見。
