
Born in Hong Kong, Kong Chan was trained in Cantonese opera by his father and learned dizi and huqin from renowned masters. He later graduated from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in accompaniment for Chinese opera. Kong has been active as an accompanist in various Chinese opera troupes in Hong Kong. In 2012, he founded Yicai Luogu, an organization dedicated to exploring the musicality of Chinese opera through concerts, storytelling, theater, and improvisation. His first theatrical production, I, Wu Song (2017), was a one-man show that explored the physical and musical extremes of Chinese opera. Recent projects include the online music archive Hong Kong Micro Music, the interactive theater project Learning to Walk, the calligraphy research project Between Gongche Notation, and his latest audio book Talking and Singing: The Nanyin Audio Book.
陳志江,生於香港。自小隨父親習粵曲,隨名家習笛⼦、胡琴,後畢業於⾹港演藝學院中國戲曲課程,主修伴奏。陳氏曾活躍於香港各大小戲班,任伴奏樂師。陳氏於2012年創辦一才鑼鼓,致力以音樂會、說唱、劇場、即興等各種表演形式呈現戲曲之音樂感;首個劇場作品《俺,武松》(2017)以無唱念之獨腳戲探索戲曲形體與音樂之極致;近年製作項目有:以戲曲曲式與劇情為藍本創作而成之網上音樂庫「香港微音樂」、互動劇場「學行」、丘鶴儔書譜研究計劃「工尺之間」,以及最新出版之《講下嘢,唱下歌:南音有聲書》等。
