
Wang Yin is a poet, writer, and photographer, born in Shanghai, China. Wang Yin’s 2015 collection, Limelight, earned two of China’s top poetry prizes. His work has been featured in literary journals and magazines, including The New York Times Magazine, Granta, and Washington Square Review. His poems have been translated into sixteen languages, including French, Spanish, Japanese, Polish, and more. In 2022, NYRB published his book titled A Summer Day in the Company of Ghosts. This poetry collection has received multiple recommendations from The New York Times. In 2023, he was awarded the California Translation in Poetry of Annual Northern California Book Awards. He was also longlisted for the National Book Critics Circle Award for a translated book in 2022 and shortlisted for the Lucien Stryk Asian Translation Award in 2023. Currently residing in New York. Since 2012, he has curated the international “Poetry Comes to the Museum” reading series at the Minsheng Museum in Shanghai, making it the longest-running poetry series in China.
王寅,詩人、作家、攝影師。出版有詩集《王寅詩選》、《灰光燈》、《低溫下的美》等。先後獲得江南詩歌獎、東蕩子詩歌獎等多個詩歌獎。他的作品發表在《紐約時報雜誌》、《格蘭塔》、《華盛頓廣場評論》等報刊,作品被譯成十六種語言。紐約書評出版社於2022 年出版了他的《A Summer Day in the Company of Ghosts》,該詩集得到《紐約時報》多次推薦,獲得2023年度北加州圖書獎詩歌翻譯獎,入圍 2022 年美國國家書評人協會獎翻譯獎和 2023 年盧西安·斯特萊克亞洲翻譯獎。他從2012年開始策劃「詩歌來到美術館」系列活動,先後邀請七十餘位國內外重要詩人在上海民生現代美術館舉辦詩歌朗讀會,是中國持續時間最久的詩歌系列活動,獲得《東方早報》「2013文化中國年度事件大獎」。
