Jacky Man-leuk Yuen holds a PhD in Biochemistry from the Chinese University of Hong Kong and previously served as the president of the Tulu Poetry Society. He has authored seven poetry collections, including The Formation of Species. He has received several awards, including the Hong Kong Arts Development Award for Young Artist and the Motie Poetry Award.
