Xiaotang Gao, is a contemporary konghou and harp performer, graduated from Central Conservatory of Music (CCOM) with a double major in konghou and harp. In 2018, she was admitted into the graduate faculty of CCOM in the first place, continuing to study kouhong. In 2007, she was enrolled in the Central Conservatory of Music Middle School, studying music under the tutelage of Professors Pingqiu Yue, Junzhi Cui and Wei Linlin. In 2012, Gao was invited to play the harp for Xi Jinping, the then Chinese Vice President and Enda Kenny, the then Prime Minister of Ireland in Diaoyutai State Guesthouse and was cordially received. In 2016 and 2017, at the request of CCOM, Gao studied and interned in Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra. During her internship period, she played the konghou solo in the annual concert Chinese Music Fun! Fun! Fun! at Tsuen Wan Town Hall, which was well received and attracted a lot of attention. In 2017, Xiaotang Gao was invited to play konghou for the 13th World Harp Congress (WHC), Hong Kong. Throughout the duration of the Congress, she performed in the Gala Concerto Concert, The Banquet and Asian highlight concert. “The Road” performed by Gao with three famous musicians is not only a new world premiere, but a new konghou music specially composed for the WHC, winning high praise from the guests.
高小棠，當代青年箜篌、豎琴演奏家。畢業於中央音樂學院，習箜篌、豎琴雙專業。2018年以專業成績全國第壹的優異成績考入中央音樂學院箜篌專業研究生。2007年考入中央音樂學院附中，先後師承教育家及演奏家樂平秋、崔君芝、魏林林教授。2012年在釣魚臺國賓館為時任國家副主席習近平與愛爾蘭總理恩達·肯尼演出豎琴獨奏，並受到親切接見。2016年、2017年受中央音樂學院委託於香港中樂團進行實習培訓，實習期間於香港荃灣大會堂參演《中樂嘉年華——箜篌獨奏》受到各方好評，引起強烈反響與關註。2017年高小棠受邀參加香港第十三屆世界豎琴大會；《琴·盛宴》與《亞洲青年焦點》兩場音樂會。專門為世界豎琴大會而作曲的箜篌室內樂作品《路》在香港世界首演，並與多位著名音樂家合作演出，受到各國嘉賓高度贊譽與評價。
