Chance

Three hundred endangered species go extinct every year
Hundreds of stars burn out every day
Every minute, people die unnatural deaths…

In every year, every day, every second
A mouse is still in the gutter, gorging, some old ladies
Are still dancing in the square, a satellite still
Arriving at the designated location

Lying in her bed, I’m anxious
for not counting myself in
We’re close, like as if for survival
Having sex like dividing up loot
