Lea Schneider – IPNHK 2019 Special Guest

Born in Cologne in 1989, Lea Schneider studied Comparative Literature, Chinese, Linguistics and Sociology in Shanghai, Taipei, and Berlin, where she lives and works today as a poet, essayist, and translator of Chinese poetry. She is a member of the Poetry Collective G13, a group of poets who experiment with forms of collective writing and poetry as performance. In 2014, her debut collection “Invasion rückwarts” (“Invasion in reverse”) won the Dresden Poetry Prize. She was writer-in-residence of the Goethe Institute Nanjing, China, in 2016 and is a recipient of the German 2018 Post-Poetry Award, as well as the 2018 Poetry East West Translation Award. Her most recent publications include “internationaler tag der reparatur” (“international repair day”), a translation of poems by Yan Jun, “Gesellschaft für Flugversuche” (“Society for Attempts at Flying”), a translation of poems by Zang Di, and the anthology “CHINABOX. Neue Lyrik aus der Volksrepublik” (“CHINABOX. New Poetry from the People’s Republic”), which features translations of 12 Chinese poets and an introduction to contemporary Chinese poetry.


莉亞.施奈德,詩人、散文家、漢語詩歌翻譯家,1989年生於德國科隆,曾於上海、台北等地進修比較文學、中文、語言學和社會學,現居柏林。現為Poetry Collective G13成員,致力於集體寫作、詩歌表演等各種實驗性創作活動。2014年,施奈德的譯作《侵略逆襲》贏得了德萊斯頓詩歌獎;2016年,她獲任歌德學院(南京)駐留作家;2018年,她獲得「後詩歌」獎以及詩東西翻譯獎。她最近的譯作包括顏峻、臧棣等中國詩人的作品,以及收錄了十二位中國當代詩人的《中國書箱:人民共和國新詩選》。
