Fernando Pinto do Amaral, writer, poet, literary critic and translator, was born in Lisbon in 1960. He is a Professor at the University of Lisbon, where he has been teaching since 1987. He is currently in charge of the National Reading Plan (Ministry of Education) of Portugal. Amaral’s publications include six books of poems, two books of essays, two volumes of fiction, and two books for children. He has translated into Portuguese Baudelaire’s Les Fleurs du Mal, Verlaine’s Poèmes Saturniens and the complete poetical work of Jorge Luis Borges.


費平樂,1960年生於里斯本,為醫科畢業生,其後研究當代語言文學並取得博士學位。現為里斯本大學文學院文學教授,兼任主理葡萄牙教育部「國家閱讀計劃」。他出版過六本詩集、兩本散文和兩本小說,另譯有葡文版波德賴爾的《惡之華》、魏倫的《憂鬱詩篇》及博爾赫斯的所有詩作。
