Wang Tianai works as an editor and researcher at the Institute of Foreign Literature of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. She holds a B.A. in Spanish Philology from Peking University, an M. A. in Comparative Literature from King’s College London and a PhD cum laude in Spanish literature from the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid. Her works of translation include the collected poems of Luis Cernuda, Alejandra Pizarnik, Federico García Lorca, Alfonsina Storni, and Jaime Gilde Biedma. She is also the author of Luis Cernuda: A Critical Reader, the first monograph about the Spanish poet written in Chinese.
