
Max Xiaobing Tang is the Dean of the Faculty of Arts and Sin Wai Kin Professor of Chinese Humanities at the Chinese University of Hong Kong. Before joining CUHK, Professor Tang taught at four prominent American universities for close to three decades. His main research fields are modern and contemporary Chinese literary and cultural studies. His many publications include Visual Culture in Contemporary China: Paradigms and Shifts (Cambridge University Press, 2015, Chinese version published by Fudan University Press, 2018) and Origins of the Chinese Avant-Garde: The Modern Woodcut Movement (University of California Press, 2008). In 2011, he curated Multiple Impressions: Contemporary Chinese Woodblock Prints for the University of Michigan Museum of Art. In 2021, Speaking of Love: Contemporary American Love Poems, a collection edited and translated by Professor Tang, was published by the Shanghai Literature & Art Publishing House. Professor Tang took part in the first season of Break Out produced by the Hong Kong Poetry Festival Foundation in 2021, and was the curator of the second season of Break Out in 2021-22. Most recently, he published his translation of Aimless Love: New and Selected Poems by Billy Collins (Shanghai Literature & Art Publishing House, 2023).
唐小兵,香港中文大學文學院院長,冼為堅中國人文學教授。曾在美國四所大學任教多年,主要研究領域為中國現當代文學和文化史,出版有《流動的圖像:當代中國視覺文化再解讀》(復旦大學出版社,2018)和《中國先鋒藝術的起源:現代版畫運動》(加州大學出版社,2008)等學術著作。2011年,為密歇根大學美術館策展《多重印象:當代中國木版版畫》展覽。2021年,其編選翻譯的當代美國情詩集《我深愛我們一起相處的這些夜晚》由上海文藝出版社出版。參與香港國際詩歌節2021年組織的「突圍」第一季線上詩歌朗誦、對話活動,隨後擔任2021-22年「突圍」第二季的總策劃。2023年,上海文藝出版社出版其翻譯的《漫無目的的愛:比利·柯林斯詩選》。
